    Description

    Offered for sale is a beautiful cookie jar bottom in the "Royal Lace" pattern of Depression Glass.  The color is cobalt blue, one of the most beautiful colors in Depression Glass.  This pattern was manufactured by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company from 1934-1941 although not all colors were made during all years.  By the end of its run, this pattern was mostly made in crystal and was sold by Sears.  Although the cookie jar was reproduced, this piece is original.  You can tell by the mold mark on the bottom of the jar - it is a circle of glass where the jar was pulled away from the mold when it was made.  There is no mold mark on the repro. pieces.  Also, the repro. pieces are darker in blue color and the pattern is weaker.  This is a genuine, guaranteed original.  This cookie jar stands 5 1/4 inches tall and there is no lid.  The condition is EXCELLENT with no chips, no cracks, no damage.  There is a teeny bit of roughness when you run your finger around the inside rim but hardly any.  All in all a great piece!!  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  I have a green cookie jar bottom also should anyone out there be interested!  You will be delighted with this piece!!
