Description
You are bidding on a large original antique print from an 1880s illustrated journal. The quality of the printing from that era was exceptional.It depicts An Inuit Eskimo driving a dog sled pulled by Alaskan Malamute dogs. They are part of the Eskimo Village at the Great Columbean Exposition in Chicago in the winter 1893/1894. THe Inuit driver is carrying several pretty tourist women in full Victorian dress. The dogs look like they are having fun!
The print
is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 11 x 16 inches (28 x 40.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a caption below.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
